How does the Pet Wellness Plan Work?
Our clients always want to prioritize their pets' health above financial concerns. However, as important as routine preventive care is for your pet's health, it can also be difficult to manage the recurring expenses.
Our Wellness Plans 'bundles' all the preventive services your pet needs to stay healthy throughout the year into an easy monthly payment plan, helping you manage your budget and save money.
What is included in a Pet Wellness Plan?
Our Pet Wellness Plans for cats, dogs, ferrets, small mammals, birds, and reptiles in the Fitchburg area and beyond include the essentials that help your pet thrive.
Our Plans consist of annual and 6-month wellness exams, core vaccinations, bloodwork, and heartworm testing. They will also come with a fecal exam and a 12-month supply of flea, tick, and heartworm prevention medications.
The Importance of Preventive Care
Wellness exams are comprehensive health checkups for your pet. They let our vets find and treat any emerging health issues and allows us to check on your pet’s diet to make sure they are getting enough nutrients everyday.
Sometimes pets can look healthy, but the early signs of disease can prowl in their bodies, often with no obvious symptoms. Which is why we run bloodwork to make sure your animal companion is in tip-top shape.
Parasites can often be deadly for animals of any size if they go untreated. Prevention is the best method of protection, which is why we offer a 12-month supply of flea, tick, and heartworm prevention medication with every Wellness Plan.
If your pet does happen to get infected, we have heartworm tests and fecal exams that are designed to find these life-threatening issues, which can be undetectable until your pet becomes seriously sick.

Can I pay for a full year up front?
Yes, you can pay for the full year when you sign up for your Wellness Plan.

Do Wellness Plans renew automatically after a year?
Yes, unless you request that we cancel your plan, it will renew automatically each year.

How do I make the monthly payments?
Your payment information (credit card) is entered into a secure portal when you sign up for your plan. You can choose the withdrawal date between the 1st and 15th of each month that's best for you.

When you sign up multiple pets at the same time, you will only pay one $50 enrolment fee.

Wellness Plans helps keep senior pets feeling well as they age. Your Wellness Plan can be customized based on your pet's unique recurring needs, and that includes aging-related requirements! Wellness Plans for older pets include the standard core services, in addition to screening for various age-related diseases and disorders.

My pet is young and healthy. Does it make sense to buy a Wellness Plan?
Regular preventive veterinary care for young animals can help build a foundation for good life-long health. When you sign your pet up for a Wellness Plan as a puppy or kitten, puppy/kitten vaccinations are included in the monthly fee.

While both Wellness Plans and pet insurance help you manage the costs of your pet's veterinary care, the types of veterinary services they cover are different.
Wellness Plans include preventive care costs (things like vaccinations and routine exams), while Pet Insurance is designed to cover emergency services, accidents, or specific illnesses.

We offer Pet Wellness Plans for small dogs, medium dogs, large dogs, extra-large dogs, giant dogs, cats, and small mammals.

Will the Wellness Plan cover all of my pet's healthcare needs?
Wellness plans cover the routine care that all cats and dogs need (core vaccines, heartworm prevention, flea prevention, and more). You will also receive a 10% discount on any other service your pet needs, excluding food and grooming (e.g. dental procedures, spaying & neutering, etc.).
